A joint massage gel made from green-lipped mussels could ease joint pain. Arthritis is a common condition that causes pain and inflammation in a joint. In the UK, around 10 million people have arthritis.
It affects people of all ages, including children, and commonly affects the hands, spine, knees and hips.
NHS Choices said there's no cure for arthritis, but there are many treatments that can help slow down the condition, including over-the-counter pain killers, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and corticosteroids.
But a new gel, which contains the extract of the green-lipped Mussel is billed as the 'best' product for soothing joint aches and pains.

Pernaton gel can reduce inflammation. The green-lipped mussel is native to New Zealand and is widely used as a nutritional supplement because it contains omega-3 fatty acids which have anti-inflammatory properties.
It is also known as Perna canaliculus and is referred to as the greenshell mussel or the New Zealand mussel.
